There is a growing demand for sustainable alternatives for plastic manufacturing. Our woodcompounds (DuraSense) portfolio for injection moulding provides a diverse range of granules, which are all developed with sustainability at heart. Our granules can be made from almost 100% bio-based materials, with a clear objective to reduce CO2 emissions and plastic waste.

Material properties are similar to those of conventional plastics and the material can be moulded in the same machines, making it easy to switch. This makes DuraSense a sustainable alternative for everyone, looking for a viable replacement for various conventional plastics.

Low carbon foot print
The wood content come from a renewable resource and trees absorb and store carbon dioxide. This stored carbon remains locked in the wood even after the trees are harvested and processed into products.
Beautiful haptics
The material comes with a natural surface finish due to the wood content. With the inclusion of large fibers you get a unique and sustainable look.
Bio-based or recycled
Our wood content can be combined with bio-based or recycled plastic alternatives to further improve sustainability performance.

Durable and strong
Our compunds naturally offers great tensile strength and stiffness, which helps reinforce the plastic.
Sustainable wood fibers
All the wood we use is sourced from responsibly managed forests, and the fibers is waste material that would otherwise be incinerated.

Choosing our bio-based alternatives labeled “ECO” to replace conventional plastic offers you significant CO2 savings. Our ECO-offer is not only carbon neutral, it even provides you with a negative CO2 footprint. Even for the grades based on wood fibers and fossil based PP, there is also a significant reduction as illustrated in the left table in dark green color.
